Kevin's home

When most of the Berg Family said they were heading to GP for the 4th we decided to jump on the band wagon and drag Brooklyn along with us. We headed down the 29th after picking Craig up at the airport we had a quick drive down to GP. Then met up with Pat & Stacey at Kalidascopes for a yummy pizza dinner.  Sunday consisted of Church and some good ole R&R with the family. Monday after painting the shed (okay lets be honest the boys did most the work) Brooklyn and I treated ourselves to a little Jet Boat trip with Ellie. I think we all enjoyed it, especially the getting wet part since it was 95* or so. While we did the Jet Boats Kevin, Craig, and Weston floated the river in the Tahitis.

Monday afternoon Eric and Jen made it to Grants Pass and we had a nice little BBQ of Salmon and Ribs generously cooked by Jeff. Yum. Tuesday morning we all headed out to the Family Fun Center where we enjoyed some bumped boats, miniature golf, go karts, and batting cages. (Thanks Pat, it was a lot of fun)! 

Tuesday night consisted of a water balloon toss that soon turned into a water balloon fight and ended with a little swim in the hot tub with the nieces and nephews. Wednesday morning we headed home so that we could meet up with my parents. 

A First Time Camper

When Brooklyn mentioned that her camping experiences consisted of sleeping in the tent at Grandma's (Where there was a tv in the tent) I knew we had to take her camping. Needless to say she has been missing out. So after picking her up in Washington where she went to visit a friend, we headed out to Multnomah Falls for a quick camping trip. After setting up camp we headed over to the falls. We stopped by horse shoe falls first and then Mulnomah.  Brooklyn was tired and not to excited to be hiking so don't mind her grumpy faces.

Then we headed back for relaxing night of tin foil dinners, smores, and some card games.

What we have been up to...

What have we been up to you might ask? Well let me show you...

Kevin and I went to Benihana's for a little early birthday. YUM! And my meal was free so that made it even better. 

Brooklyn made it to Oregon! YAY! 

I finished work and am officially on summer break. 

We played some Tennis

And we have swam lots and lots... (My hair is turning green... uh oh)

We had a Harry Potter party and Harry Potter movie marathon

 Whats a Harry Potter party without butter beer or licorice wands? 

We have done hair

And had picnics in the park

She thinks I am crazy...

Spent some time at OHSU

Road the tram (grudgengly I might add) She said the ride down was terrifying, and the "hike" back up was terrible ha ha (It's free to ride down but costs to ride up so we opted to walk back up the 2 miles).

Visited this book worms heaven "The largest book store in the world" Powells.

 We had to drag her out of there (but not before she tried buying half the store). 

Then we visited the smallest park in the world. What classifies it as a park I have yet to figure out. Yes it is in the middle of the street.

We have, actually I should say Brooklyn has slept on the floor. We found her like this one morning. I guess she didn't make it to her bed that night. 

And of course we enjoyed the beautiful rose gardens.

Brooklyn was pretending to be a professional photographer so she put us under this archway and told us to kiss. It was slightly awkward, with everyone walking by, but we agreed. She then takes the picture and laughs hysterically and tells us she was just doing it to embarrass us. You got us there Boo. 

And this handsome man finished his first year of Dental School! Can I get a woot woot! Congrats babe, I am so proud of you!
