Miracles do happen!

Okay for those of you that do not the know the past couple days have been a little stressful. Friday Kevin and I went swimming at my brothers pond. I got in and started swimming and noticed my ring was really loose. Not wanting to lose it i took it off and wrapped it in my shirt up on shore. We got out i grabbed my shirt and we headed to the car, where i dressed and we left. We made a little ways down the road when it hit me... MY RING! We headed straight back and started looking. Soon after looking around we decided we were going to need a metal detector. We hurried and rented one in Rexburg and came back. We searched until almost 11 o' clock that night, but we did not find it. I did not sleep at all that night and Kevin was wonderful throughout the whole thing. Never once got mad and was calming me down through the whole thing. We searched all morning saturday and evening but still no ring. We had to return the metal detector monday and so i asked my mom to go pick one up in idaho falls at a different rental shop on tuesday. Tuesday afternoon i received a phone call from my father saying they had found it!! My Mom and Dad being the wonderful parents they are had went out that afternoon to look for me. Friday while we were looking my brothers friend had decided to build a bike jump. He got in the tractor and scraped up a pile of dirt where our clothes had been. Devin quickly stopped him and smoothed out the pile. Me and Kevin had gone over it once but had not found anything. My parents decided to search there a little harder. My Dad says they heard a little beep and my mom started digging. And there it was. The story goes my mom yelled "Miracles do happen" and they all started dancing around in excitement.

I am so blessed. Everyone i told said they were praying for me even my nieces and nephews asked at the dinner table if they could "pray that Katelyn finds her ring". I am so grateful for all the prayers in my behalf. For Kevin for being so good and supportive through the whole thing and all the hours you spent looking, Charm for all the time she spent on her hands and knees out in the yard, and especially for my parents and the time and effort they put into finding my ring. I do not know where i would be without these people... (probably ringless).

Throughout this whole thing i learned some valuable lessons. First of all don't take your ring off. Second what is really important in life, I had to remind myself that it was just a materialistic thing (This video is amazing, take the time to watch it 6:08 is a great part) and i was lucky it was not a husband or a family member that i lost. I learned how incredible my family is and how supportive they are to me, and finally i learned that God does answer prayers and can make anything happen because Miracles do happen.
