Pouring touch downs

Autzen stadium has a philosophy that it never rains in Autzen stadium, and until recently I actually believed it (minus a little sprinkle here and there). However last weekend I learned that modo is a lie.

We met up with Pat and Stacey before the game and did a little shopping before heading to PF Changs for a yummy dinner. After parking for the game we started gathering things up to take into the game and kind of laughed at Stacey for putting on his rain gear ahead of time. Pat kept saying that she just wanted to go to one game that it didn't rain. We looked at our phones and told her it might be possible since there was only a 50% chance it was going to rain.

So after our long walk to the stadium we entered and were just about to our seats when it started raining. I kept thinking 'oh this will pass', however after about 30 minutes we all began digging into our bags pulling out the rain suits (that not long before we were laughing at Stacey for wearing). The game was a little crazy -6 turnovers right away, but it was still fun to watch Oregon still exceed in the rain. Nonetheless we were soaked to the bone and so at half time when Oregon was up 30+ points we decided we would head out and dry off. We headed back to the hotel and spent the next hour hanging our clothes out to dry and trying to dry off ourselves. Although the rain was a little inconvenient, it sure made for a lot of laughs and memorable game! Thanks for a great time Pat and Stacey!
